About Me

Well, this is an easy one. I am, of course, a massive Spurs fan and have been for my entire life. Like most fans, one season gets you hooked, and for me, it was the 1986/87 season. This was the perfect season to define what supporting Spurs has been like for many of us.

A wonderful team, full of highly talented players, who could and should have won a trophy but didn’t. It was a season of ‘so close, but yet so far’. We finished third in the league, lost the FA Cup final to a club who had never won it (in extra-time and to an own goal), and got beaten by that red lot down the road in the semi-final replay of the League Cup. A team that included the wonderfully talented Glenn Hoddle, Clive Allen, who scored 49 goals that season, wing wizard Chris Waddle, and defensive duo Gary Mabbutt and Richard Gough. We also had the wonderful Hummel kit, which is now adored by many fans.

What a season. Just incredible. That's how I got hooked, and as a result, I've made sure my kids are hooked too! Thanks also to my father for passing on his love for the same team to me.

Since then, I have had so many good, bad, and ugly Spurs memories, but most of all, I have loved every minute of it, even when it was not great! Football is the greatest sport in the world; no other sport can generate this much passion and emotion.

I had thought about starting a supporters club about a year ago, but simply didn’t get around to it. We all can find excuses not to do things. However, I always felt there was a gap in this specific region of Northern Ireland to bring fellow Spurs fans together. I wanted to channel energy into something I was truly passionate about.

I have put aside the fear of starting something new, and of course, it just made sense after that wonderful night in Bilbao. What a night. I was very fortunate to be there. I have never experienced an atmosphere before, during, or after a game like it. This was the greatest signal to start the supporters club now.

So here we are.

All systems go.

my vision

I want to create a club that brings together Spurs supporters to foster strong and meaningful relationships. We all have the same passion, so why not enjoy it together? It is hard to support a club from a distance. I know watching the games on TV is great, but this club gives Mid Ulster supporting Spurs fans a local connection and an opportunity to come together with a common interest.

I hope we can attract fans from all backgrounds and ages, but most importantly, have fun along the way. So for me, it is about starting something new and seeing how we can develop it over the next one, five, and ten years.

This website will also enable me to express my views on all things Tottenham weekly. I am no expert, I don’t remember every bit of our history, or every detailed match or player fact, but I will enjoy having the forum to share my thoughts and feelings about the club. So please, when you read my blog posts, see them purely as my opinions only.

I hope you enjoy the site and take the opportunity to join this new supporters' club.
